Could you imagine being able to tour a potential home without actually visiting the home? Imagine the time you could save by just putting on Virtual Reality (VR) goggles or opening an app on your smart device and touring properties that way. A new survey by Coldwell Banker suggests VR is poised to become the next revolution in real estate.
In the survey 77% of Americans indicated that they would love to be able to take VR house tours before they actually visit prospective homes. This statistic is almost on par with traditional video tours.
Additionally, Americans indicated several other potential benefits of Virtual Reality:
- 68% indicated that they would love the ability to use VR to see how their furniture would look in a prospective home
- 62% agreed that they would be more likely to choose a real estate associate who offers VR tour capabilities that prospective buyers could view on their computer or smartphone over a real estate associate that did not
As Virtual Reality improves and becomes more accessible, it will surely change the real estate market for the better. Savvy realtors will be able to more efficiently service clients. How do you think VR will impact the real estate market? Read the full survey results.
